Valentina Alexeevna is a visual artist, who creates abstract mixed media art. She explores the relationship between natural and artificial and consciousness. Her art encompasses vibrant colours and solid shapes in a limited palette; united with circles, squares.
Valentina was born in Moscow, Russia and moved to Dubai, UAE in 1999. In 2012, she graduated with a BA in Business Management from the University of Leicester, UK. In 2013, she founded and ran a creative lifestyle company in Dubai. It included an online shop for unique home accessories and lifestyle products, her own fashion collection and storytelling events. In 2017, Valentina studied fine art in the form of private tutoring from artists from the Fine Art Society of Moscow, to pursue her absolute passion for art. Alongside her art career, in 2018, she dedicated herself to the research and practice of parapsychology, psychology and spirituality. From 2017, Valentina created signature, mixed media art workshops and taught them to kids and adults in Dubai. She was the main art teacher at World Art Dubai in 2019, 2020 and 2021, taught at festivals, organisations and all art schools. In 2019 and 2020, she took courses on contemporary art theory and critique in Tashkeel, in Dubai. Valentina exhibited internationally, her art is in private and public collections. Her work was published in numerous local and international newspapers, magazines and appeared on TV. |

About My Abstract Art
My abstract art is a meditative process of playing with amoeba, geometric and other abstract forms, often hand drawn or physical shapes. I explore the relationship between organic and inorganic, natural and artificial; often merging them together, where they are living in a symbiotic entity. The biological elements balance with geometric shapes, depicting physics in art. There is a juxtaposition between increasing artificiality in the world and nature, and our need for balance in both.
Each artwork is a living creature, an organism or a microcosm that is constantly moving, expanding and contracting, captured in a moment. I am fascinated with the infinitely small and infinitely large. Within each artwork is life, with its’ own consciousness, symbols, language, processes, organisation, structure and molecules. Life is so diverse, just like the shapes and patterns in the works, with an increase and decrease of entropy, or variations in complexity. I create awareness about the intangible existence of consciousness, that is all around us and lies beyond our sight. Consciousness is the energy and intelligence of our existence. Energy is life, a vibration and frequency which all nature follows and flows with. I question our perception of reality, to think deeper into our existence.
My influence comes from nature, parapsychology and geometry.
